I imagine that the reason most of these laws and bans still exist is that no one has gotten around to changing them. However, theyâre totally worth laughing at and leave you imagining where the hell they might have come from.

Rod Grupen, a roboticist at University of Massachusetts Amherst and his collaborators have developed a small personal robot called uBot to help people keep in touch with their family, and take care of elderly relatives from a distance by using the Internet.
